Israeli soldiers at a remote position in Sinai, near Ras Sudar on the Gulf of Suez, were surprised recently to see a group of uniformed Egyptian soldiers without weapons approaching them. The Egyptian soldiers asked for food, explaining that the rations they received had been consumed and there was no more food for their unit. The Israelis gave them bread, potatoes and margarine and the Egyptians left with blessings and hope for peace.
