The British postal authorities have informed the Communications Ministry that postal matter other than letters sent to Israel after May 5 will be transported by ship not by airmail. According to the Ministry spokesman, British authorities gave no reason for their decision. However, he believed it stemmed from the fear that the mails are being used for bomb packages. Britain is the only country restricting airmail to Israel to letters.
