A number of refugee specialists have been engaged by the Government for medical and industrial research work, Lord Hankey revealed in the House of Lords today during a debate on the Scientific Advisory Committee. He said:
“Much of the research work is so secret that precautions have to be taken. Nevertheless, a number of refugee specialists have been employed in research laboratories, mainly on the medical side, but also in industry. Special organizations have been set up for obtaining information, suggestions and assistance from friendly refugees, including scientists, and to assist them in obtaining employment.
