James Chuter Ede, British Home Secretary, announced in Parliament today that Erwin Scholz, a former German prisoner of war who has been closely linked to Sir Oswald Mosley’s fascist Union Movement in this country, has been ordered to leave Britain.
The order requiring Scholz to leave the country has already been served on him, Ede said. If Scholz refuses to leave the country, he will be escorted out” of Britain, he added.
Soholz came to this country along with other German PCW’s in 1946 from the United States where he had been interned. He participated in Mosley meetings. Last September, at an International Spiritualists Conference, Scholz interrupted the proceedings several times to make anti-Semitic utterances.
