Great Britain today filed suit against Bulgaria, before the International Court of Justice at The Hague, Holland, in connection with Bulgaria’s shooting down of a passenger plane of the El Al Israel Airline which caused many deaths. Among the casualties were some British citizens.
According to the British suit, Bulgaria had earlier assured the London Government that it would pay compensation for the deaths of the British citizens against the ill-fated Israeli airship. Later, however. Britain informed the International Court, Bulgaria “went back on its decision.”
