The British delegation to the U.N. Security Council intends to move that the resolution sanctions adopted by the Council yesterday for the Negev be extended to include all areas of Palestine.
Under an extension of yesterday’s British-Chinese-American resolution the Arabs and Israelis would be ordered to relinquish all new positions gained since the last truce wont into effect. The Arab states are also set to demand the extension.
The Council meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow has been postponed, probably until Monday. Meanwhile, acting mediator Dr. Ralph Bunche was closeted today with his chief of staff, who just arrived from Palestine, and who was reporting on conditions throughout the war area, particularly the north and the Negev fronts.
