The British Government will make every effort to obtain maximum compensation from the Bonn. Government for British nationals who suffered damages and losses at the hands of the Nazis, J.D. Profumo, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs, declared in Commons today.

He replied to a query by Arthur Lewis, Labor MP., who asked that in the forthcoming negotiations between the British–and seven other West European governments–and Bonn, London attempt to obtain for its subjects compensation and pensions at least equivalent to those which former Nazis and Nazi Party officials now enjoy.
