Britain will continue its efforts to resolve the Arab-Israel problem, Minister of State Selwyn Lloyd declared here today in a public statement. He emphasized that there is always the danger of an open Arab-Israel conflict.
The British Government, he said, has no intention of losing interest in the Middle East. He emphasized his belief that the Anglo-Egyptian agreement on the Suez Canal issue would increase the British influence in the Middle East. He cited the Arab-Israel dispute as the only problem in the area for which Britain will be interested in seeking a solution.
