Britain Will Give “sympathetic Consideration” to Bernadotte’s Recommendations

The hope that Count Bernadotte’s final report to the United Nations regarding the future of Palestine will be “studied by all governments and authorities concerned” was expressed here today by a Foreign Office spokesman. The official said that the late mediator’s proposals for settling the Arab-Israeli dispute would “be taken into close and sympathetic consideration” by the British Government.
