The British Government will not disclose its position on the majority and minority reports by the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine until the general debate of the General Assembly on the reports has ended, authoritative sources asserted today.
(No specific date for debate on the UNSCOP reports has been set. The Assembly session, opening next week, may last as long as two months or more.)
By adopting that attitude, Britain apparently proposes to follow the line of “neutrality” which, in the official view, this country has adhered to since the Palestine problem was referred to the United Nations last Spring.
