Britain’s Orthodox chief rabbi, Jonathan Sacks, praised Peter Mansfield, who won the Nobel Prize in medicine for his work on magnetic resonance imaging. Britain is considering using MRI technology to avoid dissections in autopsies, which are banned by Jewish law in most circumstances.
