A number of resolutions dealing with American aid to Israel were adopted here today at the 64th annual convention of the Independent Order Brith Abraham. The resolutions petition President Truman and the Congress to keep arms from the Arabs in their campaign against Israel, to ask the United Nations to rescind its order to Israel to cease work on the reclamation of the Huleh swamp land, and to grant $150,000,000 to Israel for economic development.

Another resolution urges the U.S. Government to prevent the rearming of Germany in order to stop the resurgence of anti-Semitism. The convention presented Abba Eban, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, with the Dr. Stephen S. Wise Memorial award “in recognition of his distinguished service in behalf of humanity.” The award consisted of a plaque which is given each year to the person rendering the most distinguished service to his follow man.
