Simons, grand master of the order, and Judge Morzis Rothenberg, president of the Jewish National Fund of America, announced today in a joint statement.
The new colony will be named in honor of Brith Sholom, and is the second land purchase program undertaken by the organization. Its first tract, acquired in 1934, is now part of the communal settlement at Ramat Hashofet, located about 12 miles southeast of Haifa.
