Fifteen thousand people, both Jews and non-Jews, braved a driving rain to attend a huge mass meeting here last night to condemn British actions in Palestine and to demand the establishment of a Jewish homeland there.

Representatives of several political parties addressed the crowd and demanded the formation of a “free democratic Jewish home in Palestine” and called for cessation of attacks against the Palestine Jewish community.

The Uruguayan and Zionist flags were prominently displayed and hundreds of placards were scattered through the crowd.
