An amendment to the Race Relations Act of 1965 which would also include religious discrimination, was introduced into Parliament today by Lord Fenner Brockway.
The amendment contains a clause prohibiting discrimination in clubs and would make it an offense not only to “stir up hatred” against a section of the public on racial grounds, but would also ban the promoting of “contempt” for a section of the public on racial grounds.
