Seek Fund of £3,500 Jewish Telegraphic Agency
A British branch of Societas Spinozana, which was formed for the purpose of commemorating the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the philosopher’s death, has been established here. The branch issued anappeal to the public to subscribe to the fund being raised to convert Spinoza’s home in Amsterdam into a museum. Sir Alfred Mond is among those who signed the appeal.
It was stated that the society secks a fund of £3,500 to purchase the property and effect the necessary repairs in the Domus Spinoza. The international organization has already collected £1,750 in various countries.
