Manning Foster, president of the British Bridge League, told the Sunday Referee today that he has received a letter from Austria advising that in view of the feeling now current against the Jews he should not include Jews in the British team to participate in the international bridge competition in Vienna next June.
Mr. Foster assured the Referee that the choosing of the team would be in no way influenced by the letter.
