The British Council of Churches will hold a service of intercession for peace in the Middle East in St. Paul’s Cathedral May 31. Similar services were held here in Westminster Abbey after the Six-Day War and in Southwark Cathedral last year. Representing the Anglicans will be the Bishop of London, the Dean of St. Paul’s, the Archbishop of Jerusalem and the General Secretary of the British Council of Churches. Roman Catholics will be represented by the rector of St. Emonds College, the Superior of the White Fathers and the acting commissary of the Holy Land. Also participating will be the Free Churches and the Eastern Churches.
