British Foreign Secretary Selwyn Lloyd left here today for Libya. Asked whether Britain’s attitude toward Israel might change as a result of his talks yesterday with Israeli Government leaders, Lloyd replied; “If I say yes, there will be trouble–and if I say no, there will be trouble, too.”

The Cairo radio reports that French Foreign Minister Christian Pineau conferred with Egyptian Premier Gamal Abdel Nasser for two hours today. Afterwards, he told reporters the talk was “extremely interesting frank.” M. Pineau added he will meet Nasser again this afternoon.
