Foreign Minister Golda Meir is scheduled to arrive here Monday to confer with Foreign Secretary Selwyn Lloyd, it was announced here today. A Foreign Office spokesman said “the Foreign Secretary is looking forward to meeting Mrs. Meir and will review with her the Middle East situation.”
Her visit to London will conclude her current round of European capitals. Mrs. Meir’s arrival here will coincide with the visit of Shimon Perea, director general of the Israel Defense Ministry, who has also visited a number of Western capitals. Mr. Perea, who was originally scheduled to quit London Saturday evening, will remain over the week-end to compare notes with the Foreign Minister.
Mrs. Meir will not limit her talks with Mr. Lloyd to any specific point, it is understood, but will try to present concisely and clearly Israel’s views on the current political situation. This is Mrs. Meir’s first visit to London since she assumed the Foreign Affairs portfolio.
