An organization named British Friends of Israel has been formed here and has held an inaugural meeting, according to an announcement today by its chairman, Morris Gershlick.
He said the goals of the organization were “to act as a means whereby all who are pro-Israel, whether Zionists or not, can associate together in a common cause on behalf of Israel, to assist in creating a more informed public on significant matters relating to Israel, and to combat anti-Israel activities.” Long-term activities include a series of lectures and the publication of a monthly magazine.
