The possibility that British Jews may experience mob violence and suffer an unbridled campaign of defamation and intimidation such as hit the Jews of Germany and other countries of Europe during the Hitlerian regime was foreseen here today in some Jewish circles following the formal organization last night of a Union Movement by Sir Oswald Mosley, pre-war British fascist leader. Mosley announced his new party at a meeting of some 500 persons representing 51 fascist groups which will be merged into the new organization.

Unusually large numbers of policemen were assigned to guard the school in which the meeting was held. Meanwhile, a rally-of the Association of Jewish Ex-Service men was held in a nearby street, at the same time. On the wall of the school had been chalked in three-foot letters: “Mosley speaks here, an insult to our children.”
