The Munich authorities have refused a British Jew residing in that city’s British colony permission to retain his three German maids, according to a Munich dispatch in the London Times.
The British subject, Friedrich Huetenbach, had asked for exemption from the Nuremberg laws which forbid Jews to employ “Aryan” maids under thirty-five after the first of the year.
According to the Times correspondent, all British Jews in Bavaria have dismissed their German maids, Huetenbach alone raising the question as to whether the Nuremberg laws were applicable to foreign Jews.
