A loan of 10,000 pounds to the Jewish National Fund for the purchase of land in Palestine was announced today by H. M. Davies, president of the Federation of Synagogues. The loan is granted for a thirty-year period at two and a half percent interest. The synagogue federation has also contributed 5,000 pounds to the British fund for German Jews, Mr. Davies said. Over a hundred thousand pounds have been raised since the British appeal was first announced.
