British Jewry will be asked to provide funds for 250,000 trees to be planted in a memorial forest bearing the name of the late Prime Minister Levi Eshkol. The forest, sponsored by the Jewish National Fund, will be planted in Daganya Beth, the kibbutz of which Mr. Eshkol was a founder and member.
Anglo-Jewish organizations pledged their support for the project at a meeting here. The Zionist Federation of Great Britain will launch a special campaign for the project.
