The Board of Deputies of British Jews will shortly convens a meeting to discuss means of fostering closer relations with the Jews of Russia, it was announced here today by Dr. Israel Feldman, Acting President of the Board, addressing a meeting of the organization.
The Foreign Committee of the Deputies submitted a report stating that information reaching it concerning the position of the Jewish refugees interned on the island of Mauritius differed greatly from the official reports issued by the Colonial Office. It expressed the hope that the Colonial Office would reconsider its decision not to allow the Mauritius interness to go to Palestine.
