An expression of deep concern over the “deteriorating situation on Israel’s borders as a consequence of continued Arab infiltration and attack” was contained in an “emergency resolution” adopted here today at the conclusion of the national annual convention of the Poale Zion-Labor Zionist Party of Britain.
The resolution deplored the tendency of the British press to publish “one-sided reports” which magnify “out of all proportion” any acts of retaliation on the part of Israel. The parley also pledged its fullest support for the constructive policy being pursued by the people of Israel and expressed the hope that this policy would result in “lasting peace in the area and mutual cooperation between Jews and Arabs for the common good of the Middle East.”
