A meeting of the Oxford Union today, presided over by Sir William Beveridge, author of the recently announced “Beveridge Plan” for social insurance, adopted a resolution urging the British Government to relax immigration regulations for both Britain and Palestine so as to facilitate the entry of Jewish refugees from Axis-controlled countries. It also suggested that Britain approach other governments on the subject of refugee aid. The meeting was addressed by the Bishop of Oxford, Lord Samuel, Prof. Brodotsky and other notables.
