The British military staff in Palestine has issued a secret order warning British officers not to associate with Jewish women, who may be spies for the Haganah, it was revealed here today.
The order says that the underground movement is operating “an efficient and detailed intelligence service, making use of Jewish women who are paid to extract information” from military personnel. “These women naturally make full use of their powers of seduction,” the secret order warns, asserting that investigation has proved that military information was obtained by the underground in this fashion.
The warning pointed out that the efforts of the Jewish women were directed primarily at officers who were in a position to know British military plans. It also said that men of unquestionable loyalty have thus unintentionally given information to the resistance forces.
