Evelyn Shuckburgh, official of the British Foreign Office, conferred with Premier Moshe Sharett for 90 minutes today. Mr. Shuckburgh, who came to Israel after touring the Arab capitals, was accompanied by Ambassador John W. Nicholls.
The nature of the discussions today were not made public. It was noted, however, that before Mr. Shuckburgh began his trip, British official circles is London admitted that he would explore possibilities of an Arab-Israel rapprochement, which Foreign Secretary Sir Anthony Eden admitted Britain was pressing.
