Lord Drumalbyn, Minister of State of the British Board of Trade, predicted here today that, despite the Arab boycott, the prospects were favorable for a continued growth in trade between Britain and Israel. The British official, who is currently visiting this country, said, however, that Arab boycott pressure was up to each firm to deal with, and that the possibilities of intervention by the British Government in this matter were limited.

During a meeting with the visitor, Pinhas Sapir, who holds the portfolios of both the Finance and the Commerce and Industry Ministries, urged an increase in British imports from Israel. These amounted to $38,000,000 in 1963, compared with $131,000,000 worth of goods exported by Britain to Israel.
