The British Oil Development Company, which has concluded an agreement with the Iraq government to exploit oil in Iraq, has worked out a project to lay its pipes to Haifa instead of to Alexandretta, Syria, as originally planned, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns.

This change will give employment to many in Palestine and enhance the importance of Haifa Harbor.
