The Jewish Writers Association here today wired United States Ambassador John G. Winant, asking him to convey to President Roosevelt its ” deep appreciation for his noble intervention in behalf of the Yiddish press of Argentina.”
The Hebrew Journalists Association of Palestine cabled President Roosevelt thanking him for his action and the Hebrew press there carried editorials hailing Mr. Roosevelt’s statement.
