The marked improvement in relations between Israel and Britain was mirrored in the fact that during its entire eight-day stay in the Jewish state the British Parliamentary delegation never once heard any hostile or adverse remark about Britain, R. Glonvil Hall, leader of the delegation, told a press conference here just before his group returned home.
He said that the delegation, which came to Israel at the invitation of the Knesset, had gained the impression that any differences between the new Jewish state and Britain could be “ironed out in an atmosphere of understanding and mutual appreciation.”
