Miss Harriet Cohen, prominent British pianist, is here to play with Professor Albert Einstein in a concert for the benefit of refugees from Germany. Miss Cohen, who arrive here this week on the Mauretania, said that Professor Einstein had invited her to play a Mozart Sonata with him. She hoped, she said, she had not arrived here too late.
“Mrs. Einstein wrote me not long ago that her husband was very eager to arrange a musical for two families in whom he is particularly interested,” she explained, “and it may be that he could not wait until my arrival to raise the money for them.”
Miss Cohen is here for a concert tour and will remain in this country until February. She will present the original manuscript of a composition by Dr. Arnold Bax to the Congressional Library at Washington.
