The National Committee for Rescue from Nazi Terror has decided to continue functioning at least until the end of the European war and probably afterwards, as long as racial and political persecution continues, it was learned here today.
It is also understood that Lord Samuel, Lady Reading, Eleanor Rathbone, and other persons prominent in refugee relief, recently participated in a discussion on the role of Palestine in post-war refugee work.
Minister of Pensions Wormsley today paid public tribute to a noted Jewish refugee surgeon from Germany who is now working in an hospital for the war disabled in London. Mr. Wormsley did not disclose the physician’s name, but referred to him as a “present from Hitler.”
