A British soldier was killed and another wounded last night when a railway patrol trolley on which they were riding was wrecked by an Arab-Laid land mine on the tracks between Gaza and Khan Yunis, in southern Palestine, on the road leading to Egypt. The dead soldier was Donald Thompson, drummer attached to the Royal Scots regiment. Private Young suffered arm injuries.

The body of Nicholas Faries, Arab intelligence agent who was kidnapped from an Acre hotel late Tuesday was found today near the village of Yassin, the Havas News Agency reported. An armed band of terrorists abducted Faries in a bold attack on the hotel where he was dining. British police during the past few days conducted an intensive search for the missing man.
