A program of widespread activities has been arranged for “Hebrew Week,” which begins here Saturday when sermons on the Hebrew language and its spiritual importance will be given in all synagogues.
A house-to-house campaign is scheduled for Sunday, with Jewish householders receiving questionnaires on Hebrew knowledge and education.
A public meeting in the Shoreditch Town Hall, a Jewish youth mass meeting at Woburn House, a special women’s meeting, an exhibition of modern Hebrew books and an entertainment for Jewish children are among other features on the week’s slate of events.
Similar activities will take place in the important cities of the provinces.
