British troops last night suddenly descended on the male-less colony of Biriya and announced that they would occupy it until further notice.
The 25 male members of the colony were arrested on Friday, following an alleged attack on a nearby Arab Legion camp. The military authorities asserted that they found a trail of blood leading from the scene of the attack to Biriya.
In Jerusalem, yesterday, police arrested 47 persons, including two women, as terrorist suspects.
