For the first time, a woman has been awarded the Wyndham-Deedes Travel Scholarship, entitling the winner to visit Israel for advanced study. The award, presented annually by the Anglo-Israel Association, was given today to Miss Pamela Haddy, 28, A graduate of the University College of London, who has done graduate work at the London School of Economics and Cornell University in the United States, she is now a lecturer on economic and social subjects at Birmingham University.
