British Zionist Students Meet Avukah in New York

The debating team of the British University Zionist Federation met the New York team of the Avukah, American students’ Zionist organization, in their first New York debate on Monday night.

More than 1,000 persons gathered at the McMillan Theatre, Columbia University, to hear the arguments of Samuel Dinin, Samuel Saretzky and Milton Goel, who, for the Avukah. upheld the affirmative and the British debaters, the negative, in the question: Resolved that Zionism is the solution of the Jewish problem.

Maurice Samuel acted as chairman of the meeting which was arranged by the Avukah, with the cooperation of Professor Richard Gottheil, and members of the Institute of Arts and Sciences of Columbia University.
