A radio campaign to “reform” the British judiciary system by showing the “superiority” of German Courts will soon be launched by H.M.W. Wicks, a Briton who took “refuge” in the Reich to escape the “Jewish terror” in England, the newspaper Star reported here tonight.
Wicks, who was a headliner in the Nazi organ Der Angriff yesterday as a “refugee rejoicing in the protection of the Reich,” went to Germany three months ago with his wife, a daughter aged 17 and a 13-year-old son, and is living with a friend in the Nazi civil service, Carl Schmidt.
Interviewed telephonically from London today by a reporter for the Star, Wicks reportedly described himself as a “new Dreyfus” who suffered all kinds of torture, “especially moral,” while serving a 12-month term in a British prison at Wormwood Scrubs after conviction for slandering an insurance company.
Wicks said he was determined to secure revision of British judiciary procedure, and would go about it by giving a series of radio lectures broadcast to English-language countries which would demonstrate the superiority of the Nazi court system.
The Star reporter, in his article, said Wicks seemed to be talking without stopping to take a breath, at the rate of 200 words a minute, and wanted to continue the telephone conversation indefinitely.
