James G. McDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for refugee German Jews, will speak from “somewhere in Europe” to the ball-room of the Commodore Hotel on Sunday evening, May 13. when the New York effort to raise $1,200,000 for the aid of Jews of Germany will be launched officially.
Announcement of the arrangement for Mr. McDonald’s speech was made yesterday from drive headquarters at the Hotel Commodore by the three chairmen of the Greater New York Campaign of the United Jewish Appeal-I. Edwin Coldwasser, Nathan Straus Jr. and Ira M. Younker.
