Confidence that a Jewish state in Palestine would emerge from the war was expressed by Prof. Selig Brodetsky, Zionist leader, in a message as Grand Commander to the 44th annual conference of The Maccabean.

Prof. Brodetsky, who is in a nursing home for a minor operation, said: “I am confident that if Jewry will awaken and understand its future, we can emerge from the war not only as a reconstituted humanity but with a rebuilt Jewish nation and a Jewish state in Palestine.”
