The American-Jewish comedy “Bronx Express” by Ossip Dymov, was today banned by the Berlin authorities. It was to have been performed by the Jewish Kultur Bund theaters.

This prohibition is in direct violation of the Reichstag laws securing for Jews in Germany autonomy in their cultural and religious life.

The Kultur Bund theaters are recognized by the Reich Government as theaters for Jews only, and no “Aryans” may be admitted to them.

Simultaneously, the Nazi Party of Hamburg today reached an agreement with the owners of local theaters and concert halls rendering it impossible for Jews to enter general theaters. The agreement provides that theaters and concert halls must be managed “on the basis of German nationality.”

The Nazi authorities of Hamburg are also starting publication of an “Aryan” trade directory in order to distinguish between Jewish and “Aryan” firms.

In Frankfurt-am-Main a number of Jewish men and “Aryan” women who had been civilly married for many years, were today arrested for “race pollution.”
