In exercises which included the presence of Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, State Senator Julius S. Berg, Congressman James M. Fitzpatrick, and Lewis Steinfeld, the Bronx Community Post No. 82, of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States, last night installed its officers for the ensuing term at the Ward Manor ballroom, Boynton and Westchester avenues.
Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans of the World War, and American Legion Post groups participated in the ceremony.
Senator Berg presided, following a welcoming address by Steinfeld. Congressman Fitzpatrick was guest speaker. Rabbi Jacob Golubowski blessed the colors, and Dr. Wise pronounced the benediction.
The newly-inducted officers are: Joseph Gross, commander; Samuel Aarons, senior vice-commander; Jack Kaplan, Junior vice-commander; George J. Silverstein, adjutant; Abraham Liebert, quartermaster; Dr. George Schoenholtzm, post surgeon; Jacob Gussack, judge advocate; Jacob Bernstein, officer of the day and Dr. Charles A. Habelstam, David Kraus and Edwin Wyman, trustees.
