The campaign of the Bronx Women’s Division of the United Jewish Appeal, headed by Mrs. Benjamin Antin, will be stimulated at a series of functions to be held during the next two weeks, it was announced today by the officers of the German Jewish relief campaign, which seeks $1,200,000 in Greater New York.
Among the initial gifts that have been reported by the Bronx women leaders are $1,000 from Mrs. L.M. Blumstein and $500 raised by Mrs. Jacob Awner and her group.
The activities will include a mass meeting on Thursday, June 7, at the Cooperative Amalgamated Auditorium; a conference at the Tremont Temple on Wednesday, June 13, and a bridge and supper at the Concourse plaza Hotel on Wednesday, June 20.
TEA FOR JUDGE ANNA KROSS TODAY
A tea in honor of Judge Anna Moskowitz Kross will be given at the Concourse Plaza Hotel in the interests of the United Jewish Appeal for German Jewish relief. Mrs. Antin is chairman of the Bronx Women’s Division of the refugees aid drive.
