Seven Zionist bodies in the Bronx have organized an independent unit divorced in principle from the New York Zionist Region with which they have hitherto been affiliated. An elaborate program embracing a large number of activities intended to increase the membership and funds on hand, was mapped out.

The program includes the organization of a Bronx Jewish Forum, a Bronx Hebrew Club and a circulation campaign for “The Bronx Zionist”, a bi-weekly periodical edited by David S. Maltin.

New officers of the Bronx unit are A. K. Israeli, president; Dr. Isidore Mogil, Israel Maltin and Samuel Judenfreind, vice-presidents; Dr. L. R. Levinson, treasurer and Dr. S. W. Boorstein, secretary. Meyer Goldberg is the director.
