Morris Hittler, 23, of 2991 Ripple street, Brooklyn, was happy yesterday as he contemplated the pleasure of shedding a name which has subjected him “to scorn, ridicule and embarrassment.”
Justice Peter P. Smith, in the Brooklyn Supreme Court granted permission Saturday to Hittler to change his name to Morris Hilton. The order of the court is to become effective December 14. In his petition Hittler pointed out that, as “a member of the Jewish faith,” it was “desirable” for him to change his name.
