Congregation Baith Israel Anshei Emes, Brooklyn’s oldest synagogue, has presented a Scroll of the Law of Moses to the American Jewish Colony Rannanah in Palestine. The Scroll will be enshrined in the new synagogue of Rannanah, which recently was erected on a plot of land donated by Max Brown of Brooklyn, a member of the Congregation Baith Israel Ansei Emes and one of the founders of the Palestinian colony.
Mr. Brown left yesterday for Palestine with his daughters, Helen and Evelyn, to be a permanent settler on his orange plantation. He will take the Scroll with him.
